  • Xenapp Lingering Interferes with Vugen Recording in LoadRunner

    Recently one of our LoadRunner consultants was experiencing Vugen recording issues using the Citrix/Xenapp protocol. After some investigation into the configuration settings on the Xenapp server, a focus was placed on the “Linger” setting. When it was turned on, the session could not be properly hooked into by the recording engine of Vugen. Here is what Citrix says about this setting:

    HP ALM 11.52 Patch 1 (TD4QC_00350, TD4QC_00351, TD4QC_00349 and TD4QC_00348), which applies to HP ALM 11.52, was released on 08/15/13. This patch is a non-critical patch which includes new features, updates to existing features and addresses known defects and performance issues in version 11.52.

    HP UFT 11.52 Patch 1 (UFT_00056), which applies to HP UFT 11.52, was released on 08/13/13. This patch is a non-critical patch which addresses known defects in version 11.52. It also includes new environment support including support for Chrome 27, 28 and 29, and support for Firefox 22 and 23.
    Note:  The patch support model for UFT 11.5 has changed from the patch model used previously in versions of QTP (QuickTest Pro). New technology support, as well as fixes for known issues are now provided in cumulative service packs.
